Will 200 Gbps InfiniBand take off?

I first wrote about InfiniBand in 2003 in my book on DB2 V8 for Linux, UNIX and Windows. However, it’s adoption has been slow as most companies already have an Ethernet network and initial investment in InfiniBand adapters and fabric was probably a non-starter. However, with High Performance Computing and machine learning, working on gobs of data, 200Gbps Infiniband may just do the trick. Check out this new article:
