Here’s a handy FAQ from IBM on Db2 memory areas and how they are managed on Linux along with some recommendations. Enjoy!
For some time, PDF manuals for Db2 11.1 and above have not been available. You had to use the Knowledge Center online which is fine for quick searches and troubleshooting information. But, when you want to research a topic in more detail, it wasn’t very handy. Well, my good friend at IBM, Roger Sanders recently passed on the word that the manuals had been converted to PDF format and are available online. Enjoy!
I know many of you are still running Db2 9.7, which was a really good solid release. We are upgrading some of our clients to 11.1.2 and found the below doc a bit disjointed but helpful. Bring back the PDFs!
This information is no longer included in the product announcement and while I am working on a clients upgrade I of course checked this for compatibility with the OS they are running. So I thought I would include the link for the rest of you since it is a bit of an effort to find…..https://www.ibm.com/software/reports/compatibility/clarity-reports/report/html/softwareReqsForProduct?deliverableId=C4F0F2105FF511E6865BC3F213DB63F7&osPlatforms=Windows&duComponentIds=S001|S006|S005|S003|S004|A002|A007|A008&mandatoryCapIds=183|25&optionalCapIds=30|341|47|17|1|20|28
